5 out of 5 stars Pleasantly surprised   November 11, 2009

I got a free .25 oz sample of this product. Wow. I must say, I had zero expectation b/c I've tried so many hair products w/ no success. But I thought, what the heck, I'll try it. My hair is a combination of curly & frizzy, medium length- perfect recipe for frizz! I only used about 1/5 of it & that was plenty. I applied it to my wet hair & styled as usual (finished w/ my favorite hair spray). I'm a wash-n-go girl-I just pull my hair back & go. How does my hair look? My curls are way more relaxed/loose, shine is unbelievable and no frizz. Pleasantly surprised. I have yet to research the ingredients in this Oil Treatment-whatever they are, they work for me!

5 out of 5 stars Almost the Same Ingredients as Moroccan Oil at One Third the Price   May 3, 2010

During the present economic recession I have been looking for ways to stretch a buck. I was running out of Moroccan Oil and needed to find a cheaper replacement when I ran across a trial size version of "One and Only" Argan Oil at Sally Beauty Supply. I usually never like the cheaper version of anything better than the original, but this is definitely the one exception to that rule. I actually like this stuff BETTER than Moroccan Oil and that stuff costs 3 times what this does!

I don't know what all the complaints are about with the silicone - Moroccan oil has dimethicone on its ingredient list too, although it's not first on the list as it is in this product (OK, it's second on the list). Am I going to split hairs over that? LOL (pun intended). Otherwise the ingredient list is almost identical to Moroccan Oil (and yes, contrary to what some others have said, this does have Argan Oil in it, six ingredients down the list, just the same as Moroccan Oil).

The one major ingredient this does not have that Moroccan Oil has is linseed oil, but so what? I am actually happier without it. And really all I care about are results. My hair is much smoother and easier to manage with this stuff than with Moroccan Oil! And the more I use it the better the condition of my hair and less frizz too! I can hardly believe it! I can't justify the much higher cost of Moroccan Oil just because it is the brand that salons recommend and websites claim is very healthy for the hair, dimethicone and all. I am much happier with this product anyway and you can't argue with the much cheaper price. I don't think I need to hold out for pure argan oil, either. If the professionals like Moroccan Oil and this stuff is basically similar to that minus the linseed oil and with a slightly different order of dimethicone versus cyclopentasiloxane (dimethicone is first on the ingredient list in One and Only and second under cyclopentasiloxane in Moroccan Oil) I don't see why this wouldn't be a suitable substitute. I'm just happy I found it!

Wow, I bought this product from sallys beauty supply the other day and products have not been working out for my transitioning hair lately. I put this on my hair right after I washed it and then I air dried and blow dried. My hair dried fast and it was so unbelievably soft. I can't do my hair into transitioning styles so I flat iron. This blended the textures perfectly. I love this oil. I just effing love it!

I have tried a ridiculous number of products to make my hair behave. This is an expensive habit and one that leads to great frustration. I have naturally wavy/curly hair that gets either blown limply straight or gets frizzy or some horrible combination of the two. I got a trial size of this product along with something else that I had ordered and I figured that I had tried everything under the sun so why not give it a shot? I'm hooked. I love this stuff. Honestly, it was the first thing that I made sure I had in a TSA approved bottle to take with me on a long trip. I'm pretty sure I could have lived without everything else, but the oil comes with me! I recently gave some to a friend who has similar hair but doesn't like to spend any time fixing it and now she's hooked too. Great product, highly recommended. My tip: put it on your hair while your hair is still wet instead of using it as an after drying product. It just seems to work better that way for cutting down frizz.

5 out of 5 stars Great Find!   December 29, 2009

I brought this when a women in the store pretty much FORCED me into buying it instead of a glossing serum. She swore I would thank her later. Needless to say I was worried it would be a waste of money but figured I might as well give it a go. I was shocked! My hair was shiny and frizz free and I only had a use a few drops. Its not pure Argan oil, but for anyone on the fence about buying a $30 bottle of the 100% oil, I would say try this first. I'm very happy with the results. Eventually I may try the 100%, but for a girl on a budget this is the best option. I also like how it smells, it has a light fragnance but it is in no way over powering.
